What is a Moot?

Below we have the different types of Moots and what they’re about.

Moots are based on being relaxed environments where everyone is comfortable sharing and learning

A Moot is a place where you have the freedom of camping in a tent, hammock, or under a tarp; have a fire, learn and practice the skills you want to, while having the freedom to get involved in activities as much, or as little as you want to. Because so many people are happy to share their skills and knowledge, it’s a place that thrives on people learning how to be more confident in the outdoors and more confident in themselves.

This is the original big one that started it all! It runs for 2 weeks at the start of the summer holidays. You can come for a day or the full two weeks; it’s up to you.

“The first few days were magical, no courses or anything. just walking and talking. getting to know everyone, and every now and then rob them of their knowledge.

I seriously doubt if there is a school anywhere that is more effective in its teachings than the gathered knowledge and the people willing to share their knowledge like happened in the Moot.”
