The BushMoot has always been about community, skills, and time in the woods together. Over the years, it has grown into nearly two weeks of camping and connection, which is fantastic, but we know it can sometimes be confusing or even overwhelming, especially if you’re new to the BushMoot.

So here’s how it works from 2026 onwards:

The BushMoot (Core Days)

Friday 31 July – Wednesday 5 August 2026
These are the main days of the Moot, full of workshops, skill-sharing, family activities, communal meal, music, and the energy that makes the Moot so special. If you can only come for part of the event, this is the heart of it.

Extended BushMoot Ticket

Monday 27 July – Saturday 8 August 2026
This is the whole shebang. It includes the Core Days in the middle, plus extra camping days and evening campfires on either side. The atmosphere is more relaxed, with plenty of time to settle in, enjoy the woodland, and spend unhurried time with friends old and new.

What This Means for You

  • If you’ve been before: Nothing about the event itself has changed, just the way we describe it. What used to be called “the BushMoot” (the full two weeks) is now the Extended BushMoot, while “the BushMoot” itself refers to the Core Days.

  • If you’re new to the Moot: You don’t need to come for the whole two weeks, although we’re sure you’ll love it! Half the people aim for the ‘Core’ BushMoot, and you can always extend your stay if you’d like more time to relax and soak it all in.
